When did you last live your life?
Have you got what it takes? Come away from your sofa and swap your passive TV sports for real action! The real challenges await you outside, beyond your computer screen.

We've compiled in this website some adrenaline pumping activities that will push the envelope of your suburban life and get you wet.

Get out and about

Have you ever crossed a river on a rope? Have you ever climbed up a steep gorge covered in a tropical rainforest? When did you last jump into a rock pool, swam fully clothed, capsized in a raft, cycled along a muddy forest track?

Adventure sports challenge your physical and mental conditioning in an environment that demands teamwork, while providing lots of good, but sometimes dirty, wet fun. They involve the unexpected, like a sudden soaking or swim. No two sports are the same. The events and terrain all change depending on the location and type of the activity.

Adventure Racing

This sport combines trekking/trail running, mountain biking, paddling and navigation. Teams are expected to complete special tests that are located throughout the course.

Canoeing

Join your friends for a quiet paddle down a lazy river. Enjoy nature in peace and quiet. Go for a swim whenever you like. Paddling your way through the wilderness can be a wonderful opportunity to get some exercise, socialize with friends and explore wild places that are normally inaccessible. That is what canoeing is all about.

Kayaking

Kayaking is an exciting sport if you learn it well. You can paddle to places other water users can't reach, like calm inland waters, whitewater rivers, and along the coast. Known for their maneuverability and seaworthiness, kayaks take many shapes depending on their desired use.

Adventure Swimming

Adventure Swimming is one of the latest adventure sports buzzwords. However, kids have been doing it for a long time, just in jeans and hoodies, without helmets and lifejackets and a cool name.

It includes rock jumping, coastal traversing and crossing rock pools, swimming along the beautiful coastline. You'll learn exciting new skills like swimming in clothes and water safety. Best of all, you'll get really close to nature. Swimming in rivers is an integral part of river walking, even on routes where it is possible to stay dry.

Before you go out on any adventures, practice swimming in your adventure clothes in calm water, like a pool, lake or beach. You may find it quite a challenge at first, but it will get easier with consistent training.

Open Your Senses

Hear the water as it laps the shore, the birds, the engine of a boat.
Feel the sand, its texture, its dampness and warmth.
Feel the breeze move your hair, where it touches your cheek.
Feel the sun on your face, its warmth and direction.
Open your senses to all that is around you.
